Description
Oban is a Highland malt famed for its gentle, dry, sweet fruit and honeyed character. Hailing from the West Highlands of Scotland, it's one of Diageo's Classic Malts, with water taken from Loch Gleann a Bhearraidh, the town's reservoir. The distillery sets aside 300 barrels each year for the Distiller's Edition, which is a yearly release of the usual 14-year Oban, further matured for 6-18 months in a Montilla Fino sherry butt. The resulting spirit is a light, sweet single malt with a distinctive honey flavour.
